General deadline for visiting scholar applications is always end of April of the academic year in which you want to participate in the EMCL program. E.g., if you want to apply for the academic year 2011/13, you should send the application package before the end of April 2011.
Scholars can spent their time at any of the partner institutions or even travel between them. The minimum stay is two weeks and up to 3 months are covered by the scholarship scheme. The consortium encourages potential candidates to envisage longer stays to being able to optimally engage in the program with its Masters students.
The following scheme provides an overview of the next possible time slots:
1st term October 2011 - March 2012 > Groningen or Joensuu
2nd term April 2012- July 2012 > Potsdam
3rd term October 2012 - March 2013 > - Groningen or Joensuu
